Message from Nadia- Nurturing and growing your child, birthing your child and transitioning into Motherhood is an incredibly beautiful, and also very challenging time, both emotionally and physically. As it can bring up many emotions and feelings, I invite you to take some time, to nurture yourself. Postnatal Yoga is a great way to implement some self-care, please try not to worry if your child wakes up / needs your attention, even a 5 minute practise can be incredibly nurturing and beneficial for both the body and the soul. Postnatal Yoga is suitable from 8 weeks after a natural birth, and 12 weeks after a c-section, though please do listen to the wisdom of your body. Your body knows exactly what it needs, do rest when you need to, and take out any postures that are not working for you. Do consult your GP or your health visitor for any further information on postnatal exercise and whether it is safe for you to practice if you have health conditions.
