REFLEXOLOGY- COVID SECURE
I will be following guidance from the Association of Reflexologists (of which I am a member) based on government guidelines for maximum safety towards hygiene and safety. I will currently only be providing home visits. Guidelines are as follows…
The government have released the guidance for ‘close contact services’ on the Gov.uk website. You can find this HERE.
You will receive a consultation form that will ask questions about personal details and medical details, and ask Covid specific questions surrounding risk of infection and informing of any symptoms from yourself or other members of your house. On arrival please declare if anything has changed with your health or within your family unit.
In addition you will also receive a risk assessment form to check risk factors for COVID and whether it is ok to treat.
I will be wearing clothes that can be washed at 60 degrees and changed after every client.
I will be wearing a plastic visor which will be cleaned with disinfectant after every client along with a fabric face covering. You will also be required to wear a face covering but this can be a scarf if you do not have a mask (ideally double layered cotton).
I will be using a new miniature tub of coconut oil for each client which will be disposed of afterwards and bought in a wash bag. Waste will be disposed of in line with government guidelines.
You will be able to pay by bank transfer or Paypal through my online system prior to the appointment booking. I will not be taking cash payments.
I will ask that you use your sofa or a comfy chair for reflexology treatments. Please provide your own clean blankets/soft towels x 3 and your own clean pillow x 2. It can be helpful to use a chair or stool as a foot rest.
When the treatment has finished everything will go back into the wash bag along with any rubbish and sealed.
It has been suggested that treatment times be kept to 1 hour I will carry out the consultation with you via zoom or a phone call based on your preference.
It is advised that there are no other people present in the same room at the time of the treatment.
Please ensure the room you wish to have your treatment conducted in is well ventilated by creating good air flow. This can be achieved by opening windows and doors.
When I come in I will put my bag in the room being used for the treatment and immediately wash my hands. If you are unable to provide hand washing facilities please let me know when booking and gloves will be used for your appointment.
I will provide my own drinking water.
Please wash your hands (or use hand sanitiser) on my arrival.
Track and Trace – IMPORTANT
The government has requested that if contacted by the track and trace service that contact details of people I have been in contact with must be passed on to help prevent the further spread of Covid-19. This is a legal requirement and part of my terms and conditions of returning to work, by booking an appointment with me you are consenting to your details being passed to track and trace if required.
